Obviously, I'm ready for Spring. It was 80 degrees out today & I was just feelin' a pink cardigan & floral tank. I think it was inspired by these shoes that my mom found in our storage the other day.. I love them!

These photos are unnnnnedited. I am fed up with Photoshop. I stink at it! Haha. I'm so used to CS5 that I cannot work PSE 9. Do any of you have tutorial recommendations!? I like pictures like this & this. I feel like I'm always asking questions. . . 'cause I am. hahaha. Help is so appreciated though!! Hopefully I can upgrade to CS5 soon.

Gonna get along without you now

Do I wear this skirt too often!? Haha. I have a million others, but I always go back to this one. It's my fave! Anyway, This is a really simple outfit.. it probably needs a necklace or something.. but I don't own any. I've never even worn one! Haha. I think I'd feel weird if I did.

Can you believe I'm actually wearing a purse? Well, backpack. I love mine! I wear it with every single outfit I own (seriously.) It's the only bag that will keep my camera safe.. I really need to look into a THEIT bag or some other backpacks from UO, just for some variety!

Are you shocked to find out that my skirt is actually a dress, as well as my shirt? Yep! I'm wearing two dresses. Haha. I was so flustered while taking these pictures that I forgot to get close ups! Duh, Kenzie. Geez. I'm sorry guys!

The reason I was so flustered taking these is because I thought I'd get in trouble. There wasn't any "No trespassing" signs, but the buildings were boarded up and really creepy. I just felt weird being there! The history behind them is so cool, though. On this particular building there was a sign that dated back to 1922. You can read that here. Apparently, these buildings were all part of Stonewall Jackson Training School - a place where male offenders under the age of eighteen were sent to in lieu of prison time. Also, I don't have a lot of pictures because my Photoshop shutdown and won't open back up. O_o. Yeah. I'm off to fix that, now!

Brand new shoes

Sorry that I have no idea where I bought any of these items, except for the shirt. I bought that at H&M back when I was in Ohio. It has cute little arm patches! Oh how I wish they had H&M's here.. the closest one is in Raleigh :( Anyway, I promise this outfit was much cuter IRL. It just didn't photograph well!

Obviously, I took these photos when I was at the beach! It was so warm, but so windy. I was with Kelsey, Morgan & my sister 70% of the time. We had an absolute blast together!

Question for you all. I bought Photoshop Elements 9 & I have yet to open it.. I'm now wondering if I should go back and buy the one that comes with the video editor? Any of you have it? Advice is appreciated!

Hard to tell

Lately, I've been wanting to add a hat to every outfit that I wear. I can't help it! It's a sudden obsession.. I've never cared for them, now every time I walk into a store they're the first thing I look for! I just think they add a lot to an outfit (And since mine are always so simple.. A hat completes them!)

I'm leaving for the beach tomorrow to go with my youth group for a church event called WYR (Winter Youth Retreat.) I'm hoping the weather will be warm and I'll meet some freeends. We're suppose to get 4 people from our youth group to share a testimony and no one really wants to do it, So I thought I might. I'd be so nervous though! I'm sure I'd get flustered and forget everything that I was going to say. But. It'd be a cool thing to do.. so I'm going to try. We'll see :p

Today's outfit! I'm wearing f21 head to toe! Kind of. I was wearing my UO wedges. But you can't even see them, so whaaatever. This shirt is my absolute favorite. I just bought it & it's sooo comfortable. I should've taken a picture showcasing its large wings! Haha.

Anyway, there's my much anticipated (smudgy) iPhone. (Sorry that the camera focused on my face instead of the phone! Haha. Oh well!) I'll be done talking about it soon.. but for now, I just looove it. Best "present" ever. Thanks for the app recommendations! If you have any more, keep 'em coming :)

P.S. I didn't edit any of these pictures & I'm sorry that they're in front of my curtain! Haha. I didn't have time to take them outside :( I've been a pretty bad blogger lately.. I'll make up for it, promise!

No outfit post today! It was too cold in Ohio & I was too lazy to get ready & take pictures. I have to get some posts prepared... I feel like it's so much hassle. Should I feel like that? Haha. Anyway, you'll have to deal with this crap webcam picture. My parents cleaned out our shed last week. I found this today along with sooo many other childhood memories. It roxxxx my lil' sox. It even has tiny arms & legs!

Anyway, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY. Or anti-valentine's day. However you choose to spend it! Anyone have fun or cute stories to share? I would love to live vicariously through you for a few minutes :)

Hellooo! I'm finally posting the railroad pictures that I've been so excited to show you guys. I've had them for what seems like forever.. (a week ;p) I even talked about them on twitter. I was stoked to be taking them since I've always wanted to. It was a paaaain walking to them though, which is why my shoes are off in the first picture. My feet were sooo dirty afterward. Haha.

Anyway, onto my outfit. I'm mixing black and blue again. I always feel weird, like people think that I didn't know my shirt was blue. Haha.

**Ooooh look @ me, breakin' all the rulez** Fashion rules of course. I'm wearing all kinds of colors together - brown, blue, black & purple. What can I say? I'm craziii.

Reason for a short post: I'm off to a church event. I'm hoping that's a good enough excuse. I'm still not sure what I'm wearing.... I know so many girls that count down the days to these kind of events. I even know a couple that have had their outfits picked out for months! I wish I was that enthusiastic.

Star-crossed smile is a personal style/daily life blog. Nnenna started the blog because she is very inspired by real-girl style and was hoping that she could inspire others too. Last but not least, we have Jennifer from Jenni Austria Germany.

When Jennifer first moved to Europe, she started a blog because it was easier (and more fun!) than emailing her mom every 4 hours to let her know that yes, she was still alive. This has proven to serve as a double-edge sword for her mom, however, as many times she will email Jennifer and ask something like, ''How was your weekend in _____ (insert European country here)?'' Jennifer replies with an answer along the lines of, ''Eh, too many stories to type out right now. I'll blog about it later.'' But her mom usually doesn't have to wait long because she always blogs about it later. She's very faithful about that! Her blog = her posting photos of her constant travel adventures, mostly. Also, Jennifer makes sure to describe in detail the awkward predicaments which she "seems to find herself in on an hourly basis." (Haha!) She always makes it a point to highlight the cultural differences she notice between her (an American) and all the lovely Germans, Austrians, Europeans in general she meets along the way - and "believe her, there are a lot of differences." Although Jennifer loves reading comments from her friends and family back at home (as well as the several friends whom she's met in the blog world, of course), she still more or less blogs for one person and one person only: her mother. "And if you're reading this, Mom, please know that yes, I'm still alive." :)
